Rayman Legends “Leaked” Trailer
So there’s a leaked trailer of the now confirmed Rayman Origins sequel, Rayman Legends. Ubisoft has stated that this trailer was not for public consumption and issued this statement:
“An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet… This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features… This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits.”
The trailer was found on various sites, then disappeared but now seems to be up again. If you were a fan of the first game, the trailer really seems even more vibrant and intense than the first. A couple of neat Wii U extras featuring the ability to scan objects in the game from real life items was shown in the trailer, and while as the quote says, nothing shown in the trailer is final, I’m pretty sure this “Skylanders” gimmick will be in for sure.
As for the whole “leaked” angle, I personally don’t buy it. The trailer just seems way too polished for something to be only shown internally. My guess is they want to gauge the public’s reaction on some of the proposed features. Gimmick ridden or not, the game already looks gorgeous, and will be a must buy for 2D platformer fans.
